Pathway through "Červený mlýn" area
Josiek, David ; Mitura, Jindřich (referee) ; Všetečka, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis solves the design of the cycle path in Brno around the red mill. Specifically, the connection between the Královo pole and the city center near „Lužánky“ Park. The solution enhances the safety of non-motorized traffic by removing cyclists from second-class roads to this proposed communication. The route passes along the street „sportovní“ where it provides access to the indoor swimming pool and then passes below the intersection crossing, replacing one of the railway tracks, which are no longer in use. The trail is designed according to valid standards and technical conditions.
Mathematical modeling of district heating net
Pařízková, Iva ; Kracík, Petr (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is focused on creating an iterative model for thermal and hydraulic calculation of heating net in Visual Basic of Application. Flowing medium considered is hot water. Although data for heating network in Brno are recorded in this model, its use for any other heating network is possible. This model allows also calculation of minimal temperature of the source and calculation of heat loss of every consumer. This is very useful when considering, if supplying some of the consumers with the heat from a local source would not be more effective. The second part of this text is aimed to evaluation of different ways how to reduce the heat loss in heat network for source Červený mlýn. Both current situation and possibilities for the future are considered.
Steam-gas cycle from a thermodynamic viewpoint
Pransperger, Jan ; Štětina, Josef (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with thermodynamic of steam-gas cycle and compare that with some others heat cycles. It focuses on efficiency of cycle and its limits in the context of the second thermodynamic low. Also it shortly summarizes some technical solutions and possibilities of the cycle. The mentioned knowledge are applied to concrete example of Brno’s heat and power plant Červený mlýn (Red mill) in the last part and allow assessment of its efficiency.
Project of Backup Power Source for the Heating Plant Červený mlýn
Nagy, Pavel ; Vrána, Michal (referee) ; Jára, Jaroslav (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
This thesis describes a design of backup power for heating plant Červený mlýn, Teplárny Brno, a.s. The backup power would be used in case of loss of power from the electricity grid, especially in the case of so-called "blackout". Backup power would supply only necessary systems of this heating plant, such as spinning turbines before stopping, control room power supply and lighting. Particularly designs of accumulator, flywheel and diesel generator are discussed. The main aim is to choose the optimum solution.
